Files and links

1. Enter a course.
2. Click Add in the navigation tree.
3. Click File or link.
4. Click the Click to add title heading, and replace it with a title of your choice. You now have two options:
   1. Find the file that you want to upload, and drag it over the yellow field that is labelled: 'Drop your files here'; then drop it.
   2. Alternatively, click the Browse button and find the file on your computer.
5. Under Details, set the activation status.
6. From the Open with drop-down list, specify how the file should be visible to other users: for example, viewed in a new window, available as a file download, or behind a link.

Support for drag and drop
Note that the newest browsers for Windows and Apple OS X support drag and drop while the drop zone is unavailable for some non-supported browsers. You can check whether your browser supports drag and drop here: http://caniuse.com/#feat=dragndrop.

2. Click Edit properties in the work area.
3. Edit the file, and click Save.

3. Behind the file you want to remove, click Remove.
4. Click Save.

5. Paste a link into the Add link field.
6. Under Details, set the activation status.
7. Add a Description (optional).
8. Click Save.

Because itslearning is running in a safe environment (HTTPS), unsecure links (HTTP) do not always display properly inside itslearning. To solve this we're treating HTTP and HTTPS links differently. HTTPS links can still be embedded (meaning that the link will open inside itslearning), but HTTP links can no longer be embedded and will instead be shown as a link. HTTPS links will therefore have an Embed page within itslearningoption.

1. Click on the link you want to edit.
2. Click Edit properties in the work area.
3. Edit the link, and click Save.

2. Click the settings cogwheel in the top right corner and select Delete from the drop-down.
3. Confirm the deletion by clicking OK.

4. Click the Dropbox tab.
5. Click the Choose from Dropbox button.
6. In the pop-up, log into Dropbox and click on the file you want to upload.
7. Click Choose. The file is now downloaded from Dropbox and uploaded to your itslearning account.
8. Click Save.
